The organic cotton and semi silk (Viscose) feels warm in winter and cool in summer. Various tribal motifs are embroidered into these sarees like arrow, duck, child, man, shield, flower, deer etc., as the tribals live closely with Nature. To weave a single saree, it takes about three days. While the original Santhal Sarees are 5 metre long and 38 inches wide, nowadays 5.4 metre long and 40” wide sarees being specially made.
